Advice sessions delivering immigration and more generalist advice have been at the core of ARKH’s service since its inception in 2001. We continue to offer a high quality service led by trained and accredited volunteer advisers. In order to meet legal requirements and ensure quality of service, our advice work is regulated by the Office of Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) Registration number: N200100496
Our Level 1 work includes (but is not limited to) completing applications for permission to work, travel documents, naturalisation as a British citizen and extensions of Temporary Admission.
Our advice is becoming increasingly geared towards general mainstream issues such as benefits, housing, debt and employment and we have developed extensive experience of delivering culturally sensitive information in the areas.
When Are The Drop In Sessions?
Our drop in sessions take place on the following days:
Monday 2PM – 4PM
Tuesday 2PM – 4PM
Wednesday 2.30PM – 4.30PM (Jobclub only)
No appointment is required, but attendees are advised to arrive when the doors open (30 minutes before the start of each session) in order to register their name. Anyone who arrives before 1:30 pm will be requested to leave the grounds and return at 1:30 pm.
Smoking is not allowed in the grounds of Marvell House.
On Wednesday we operate a Jobclub where clients can receive support in looking for employment. This includes supporting clients to carry out a job search, job applications, writing a c.v. and general employability skills.
Appointments are available outside these times for more complex immigration issues – please speak to an advisor or contact the Advice Coordinator on (01482) 214178
